What is Lord of the Rings TCG?
The Lord of the Rings Trading Card Game is a fast-paced,
story-orientated strategy game that focuses on the Fellowship's desperate quest to get The
One Rings to Mordor. Each player will contact the forces of Sauron and the brave
members of the Fellowship as they try to move their party through the realm of this epic
tale and thwart the advancement of their opponent's Ring-bearer.

LORD OF THE RINGS: Bloodlines
The third set from
the War of the Ring block for The Lord of the Rings TCG will strengthen the
Fellowship, adding many cards to help the Free Peoples battle the forces of
Sauron! Bloodlines will focus on the strong family ties in Middle-earth,
with a different 'bloodline' being represented for most of the Free Peoples
cultures. A new card type, Follower, will introduce new personalities
and gameplay into The Lord of the Rings TCG, allowing some of the lesser
characters in Middle-earth to battle alongside your companions. Two new
alternate Ring-bearers, Sam and Gandalf, will provide new strategies to
explore.

Black Rider
What
began in Shadows is expanded and enhanced in the next War of the Ring block
expansion: Black Rider. The set features essential reprints from the
Fellowship block, enhanced strategies using the Muster, Lurker, Toil, and
Resistance keywords, and a host of new companions and minions to invigorate
and intensify gameplay.
Two different playable 63-card starter decks (60 fixed cards plus 3 random
rares) feature starter-only versions of Saruman and The Mouth of Sauron. The
11-card booster packs contain 1 rare, 3 uncommon, and 7 common cards. A
Legends or Legends Masterworks foil replaces a rare card in approximately one
in seven booster packs.

New paths lie ahead in Shadows, the first expansion set in the "War of the

Reflections features 48 brand-new foil cards including new
Rings of Power, new Palantiri, and "alternate Ring-bearers," plus foil
reprints of the four preview "book cards" from the Countdown Collection. 26
cards are rare (R), while the other 26 (including the four book cards) are
designated "R+" (slightly more rare than R).
Each 18-card expansion pack will contain two of the 52 foil
cards (randomly selected), plus a mix of 16 cards from the six sets of the
Fellowship and Tower blocks, including a sprinkling of international language
versions.

breathtaking imagery of Middle-earth.

The first of three expansions making up the
"King block," The Return of the King introduces new game mechanics
called "threats" amd "initiative", a new site path, new versions of all the
Fellowship members, Arwen, and Elrond, and new characters such as Denethor
(already seen in a preview version). Cards will support both the open
tournament format (including Fellowship, Tower, and King blocks) and the
King block format.
As the base set of the King block, The
Return of the King will have a configuration similar to that of The
Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers. It will include two
different playable 63-card starter decks, featuring Aragorn and Éomer, and

Gollum/Sméagol as a minion, companion, or both in the same deck.
